Julian of Norwich lived in the 14th century and wrote one of the world's great spiritual books,'The Revelations of Divine Love'. The sermons at our Sunday morning services in Lent explore the meaning of her writings for our time

During Evensong on Palm Sunday there will be a performance of Britten’s Canticle 2 (op 51). This two-person opera portrays the most dramatic moment in the life of Abraham, the binding and near-sacrifice of his beloved son Isaac, in obedience to God.Britten wrote the canticle in 1952 basing it on the Chester Miracle plays. It lasts about 20 minutes and provides a fitting meditation as we enter into Holy Week.
