The Butterfly Ball 2010

Saturday September 25th - Chiswick Town Hall

Michaelmas Ball 2005St Michael & All Angels Church in Bedford Park is about to hold one of its legendary, glamorous, black-tie, fund-raising Balls at Chiswick Town Hall. These not-to-be-missed occasions come round once every few years, so please don't miss this one! Book a table with your friends and help raise money for St Michael's latest worthwhile project.

There are more details below, and you can remind yourself what a great evening was had at the Venetian Masked Ball in September 2007 (below) and the Michaelmas Ball in 2005 (above).

Mother Katherine and other ball-goersIf we can tempt you to donate a prize for the Silent and Live Auctions, please contact Sally Haigh on 020 8995 7249 - she's seeking items such as cases of wine, jewellery, unwanted paintings, concert or sports event tickets, offers of work experience and all manner of 'time and talents' donations.

Or if you'd like to sponsor part of the evening, please email Fiona Hickley on f.hickley@ntlworld.com.

The Butterfly Ball 2010

Date:                 Saturday 25 September 2010
Venue:               Chiswick Town Hall
Tickets:             £75.00 per head (£750 for a table of 10), to include:

  • 4 course dinner
  • Cocktail reception
  • Wine and soft drinks during the course of the evening
  • Dancing to a 5 piece live band

Profits will help us start the official fund-raising for St Michael & All Angels’ next project, redeveloping the dilapidated vestry and building a new organ.

St Michael & All Angels in Bedford Park is known to everyone in the area, whether church-goers or not, for its vibrant contribution to local community life and as a hub for the arts in Bedford Park. We need more space to meet all the demands of the community and the church and we also need to replace our organ which is on its last legs. We are planning to redevelop our vestry to create two levels of space, as we did so successfully with our Parish Hall, and to have a new organ which will immeasurably improve the sound for worship and musical performances in the church.  A better organ will attract better musicians for concerts and recitals.

For tickets, please contact Nicola Chater on 020 8742 1097, or nicola@global-marketing-solutions.com or print your own Booking Form.

St Michael's Venetian Masked Ball

Saturday November 10th 2007
Chiswick Town Hall
The Clergy in their finery

Thank you to everyone involved in the Venetian Masked Ball, which was
a terrific success. Everyone looked wonderful, in their masks and finery, and had a great time. We also raised no less than £33,000 for St Michael's repair and repainting fund, taking us close to paying off all the outstanding loans.

Particular thanks to the organising committee, under Margaret Bailey and Sue Ouseley; Alan Trigle and his team who cooked the four-course dinner; Sara Gronmark, who turned Chiswick Town Hall into Venice; the band, Charlie and the Funk Factory; and Lynette Royle, who organised the auctions.

Thanks too to those who so generously donated - and bid for - the magnificent prizes,
listed below.

Thanks are due to the evening's major sponsor, Savills, and to the other sponsors, Fletchers, Bang & Olufsen, Mercedes, Faron Sutaria and Monarch Cars.
