Home » A Viennese New Year at St Michael’s
A triple celebration at St Michael and All Angels.
In a joyous concert to mark the New Year, the 150th anniversary of Bedford Park, and the bicentenary of the Waltz King, Johann Strauss II, David Juritz and the Strauss Orchestra of London are bringing Vienna to W4. Presented by broadcaster, musician and lecturer Sandy Burnett, a specially chosen programme includes star turns by soprano Milly Forrest, virtuoso pianist Mark Viner and Father Kevin Morris.
As well as essential Viennese classics such as the Blue Danube, Radetzky March and Thunder and Lightning Polka, the music will reflect life, past and present, in Bedford Park, the world’s first garden suburb. It will include Bahn Frei by Eduard Strauss, a reference to the steam train that ran from London to Turnham Green, made famous by Camille Pissaro’s painting. The station master will be Fr Kevin, with a suitable hat, bell and whistles.
Tickets £20 or £5 (under-18s) or £45 (family of four): CLICK TO BOOK NOW! Doors and bar open from 4pm.
