Sponsored Hymnathon February 24th & 25th 2012
The Singers
From Noon on Friday February 24th (see clock, right) till 6.30pm on Saturday 25th, the entire New English Hymnal was sung to raise money for our Organ and Parish Rooms Appeal.
Our grateful thanks to at least 330 people who sang or played the organ and other instruments.
They include Chiswick Choir, Hogarth Singers, West London Bach Singers, Arts Educational Schools London (opening the Hymnathon, right), Orchard House School and Chiswick & Bedford Park Preparatory School.

Who sang - or was in the church - the longest?
Sarah Lenton (changing hymn numbers) - 28 hours; Amanda Bradley/Vicky Brooke - 24 hours; Margaret Stonborough - 20 hours. (If you did more than 20 hours, please let us know). Louise Grattan was there for 8 hours, singing with at least three groups, and playing the violin! The organists played for around 10 hours each, and sang at most other times: Oliver West, Jonathan Dods, Chris Beauchamp, with Peter Smith as relief organist in the early hours (absent: Phoebe Woollam)
