Events for children
The Festival gives lots of opportunities for children to take part, have fun, win prizes, and show their talent - at football, fancy dress, film-making, photography, and song and dance. You can print off entry forms for the Football Tournaments below (closing date Friday May 25th); Bedford Park's Got Talent; and the Photographic Exhibition (closing date Saturday June 18th) here. Ways for children to take part in this year's Festival
1. Design a Crown Competition
Make your way to Marmalade Jewellery in Turnham Green Terrace to hand in your entry for the Design a Crown Competition. Entries close on Friday June 15th - see link for how to enter:

2. Green Days
11am-6pm Saturday June 16th and 11.30am to 5.30pm Sunday 17th 2012
Funfair, dodgems, Children’s Corner, refreshments, plus football, fancy dress parade (right) and talent show:
- 5-a-side Football (see below)
- Fancy Dress Parade. Theme: Diamond Jubilee
11am Saturday June 16th. Starting at St Michael & All Angels Parish Hall at 10.30am. Prizes.
- Bedford Park's Got Talent (Under-17s Talent Contest) 2pm Sunday June 17th 2011
Winners announced at 4pm. Entry forms available in due course here and inside Church (under Festival noticeboard) .
Entries close: 12 noon, Saturday June 16th. Numbers limited, first come first served. Meet at Bandstand at 1.30pm.

3. BPFShorts - West London's Short Film Competition for 12s to 18s

4. Photographic Exhibition & Competition
For photographers of all ages – including two children’s categories, and a Jubilee category. Entries close 4pm Saturday June 25th. Exhibition runs from Friday June 29th to Sunday July 1st. Calling all young film-makers: BPF Shorts Competition 2012

The ‘ BPF Shorts ' Film Competition is designed specifically for 12-18 year olds, to encourage and nurture young film makers to make their own short films. Entry is free and filmmakers can enter individually or via their schools.
First launched last year, the competition was a great success. Actors and local residents Colin Firth and Kevin McNally were hugely supportive and led the judging, which attracted 54 entries from local London schools. See www.bpfshorts.co.uk for highlights.
Films must be between 1-7 minutes long and can be of any genre: fiction, animation, or documentary. Visit www.bpfshorts.co.uk for an entry form and to see the diverse range of last year's commended & winning entries. The deadline for submissions is strictly Friday June 1st 2012, so young filmmakers should get busy with their films this Easter holidays!
Calling all young footballers: Five-a-side Tournaments 2012
There are four tournaments, for different ages, which will be held on Acton Green Common as part of the Green Days Fete. Sponsored by John D Wood.

School Years 3 and below (Under 8s)
