On Thursday April 3rd at 7pm in St Michael & All Angels Church, the second talk in aid of The Upper Room is An Evening with Hugh Pym: Five years on from COVID. The BBC Health Editor became a household name covering the COVID-19 crisis and will be reflecting on its impact on the NHS in a book out next year. Before then, for The Upper Room, he’ll be talking to his former colleague Torin Douglas, the former BBC media correspondent (and director of the Chiswick Book Festival) about the events of that time, as well as the BBC and other topics. Talk free but a £20 donation is requested. Doors open at 6.15pm.
