Friday Lunchtime Organ Music: Elliot Randall

Elliot Randall is a London-based organist who has performed in recitals across the UK. They are currently an undergraduate at the Royal College of Music, studying with David Graham, Charlie Andrews, Martin Ford, and Martin Schmeding. Alongside their studies, they serve as Organ Scholar of St Cuthbert’s, Earl’s Court, and as Organ Scholar and Associate Choral Leader at St Martin-in-the-Fields, where they work as a conductor and accompanist with the Choral Scholars, and as accompanist to the Junior Choir. They are also the founder and director of the Figura Singers.

They began playing the organ in 2019 as a recipient of the Michael Swindlehurst Organ Scholarship at St Mary’s, Saffron Walden, and later studied at the Royal College of Music Junior Department with Martyn Noble. During this time, they performed on the College’s Flentrop Orgelbouw instrument and visited instruments including that of the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.

Their studies have included organ visits to the Netherlands, Germany, and Paris, working on many famous instruments, including Saint Sulpice, The Palace of Versailles, and The Thomaskirche. Recent engagements include a tour to Oslo with the St Martin-in-the-Fields Choral Scholars.

In addition to the organ, Elliot studied clarinet with Jessie Grimes, performing as Principal Clarinet of the RCMJD Sinfonia Orchestra, and was awarded the Sally Wainwright Woodwind Prize in 2022.
