On Bank Holiday Monday May 5th, St Michael & All Angels held its latest ‘Big Sing’ event with The Tabard, the neighbouring pub in Bath Road W4, which was also part of the original Bedford Park estate. The ‘Big Sing 150’ took place on Bank Holiday Monday May 5th, as part of the anniversary celebrations. It also marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day, on the day when communities were invited to hold street parties. We remembered the Chiswick artist who documented preparations for D-Day – and, with the Chiswick Book Festival, two Bedford Park artists who memorably documented WW1.
